CPR and First Aid Courses

CPR for Family and Friends
Learn how to perform CPR for infants, children and adults and first aid for choking with hands-on manikin practice in this 2.5-hour course. An American Heart Association book and participation card are provided upon completion. This is not a credentialing or certification course and is designed for lay rescuers in the community.

Fee: $25 per person. Register online.

Heartsaver CPR
Learn CPR for infants, children, and adults and how to relieve foreign-body airway obstruction with hands-on practice in this 3.5-hour course. An American Heart Association book and certification card are provided upon completion and skills testing. This course is designed for employees who need certification. Basic Life Support training for Healthcare Providers is a separate course offered by the Department of Organizational Development, please call 314-251-6198.

Fee: $35 per person. Register online.

Family and Friends First Aid for Children
Learn first aid for injuries and medical/environmental emergencies in this participation course. This is not a certification course and is designed for parents and lay rescuers. An American Heart Association book and participation card will be provided upon completion. This program is not regularly scheduled but can be arranged for your group. For registration information or to schedule a group program, please call 314-822-PEDS (7337).

First Aid
This American Heart Association First Aid certification program covers standard first aid for injuries and medical/environmental emergencies. An American Heart Association book and certification card are provided upon completion of this 3.5 hour course.
